| The name "Pochote Grande" is derived from the huge, old pochote tree (Bombacopsis quinatum) located directly behind our barbecue site. The tree, once called home by a boa constrictor, provides shade to many birds and animals such as owls, iguanas, squirrels and even a racoon family on occasion.
Hotel Pochote Grande is German owned and managed. Built in 1990, it is a low rise, 24-room property which is surrounded by tropical gardens with a beautiful, partly shaded swimming pool and a gateway which leads directly onto the beach. |

| Las Canciones del Mar welcomes you to a little piece of paradise. We see ourselves as the nicest small distinctive beach front hotel in Jaco with reasonable rates and with the best service in town. We serve a free buffet breakfast which is included in all our rates. Las “Canciones del Mar” is located Ocean Front and centrally in the little former fishing village of Garabito or more commonly known as “Jacó Beach” or just simply Jacó (pronounced HA-co).
Las Canciones del Mar consists of 11 one bedroom suites, a honey moon suite, and a large two bedroom suite, each fully equipped and air conditioned apartments with cable TV and a direct telephone connection to the outside. We can convert also one of our suites as conference area.
Since las "Canciones del Mar" is located beach front, the majority of our units have a pool or garden view and some units have beach view. |
