Pérez Zeledón
The main economic activities involve coffee, beans, corn, tobacco, fruit trees and livestock. The canton is drained by the watershed of the Río Grande de Térraba and the watershed of rivers Savegre and Barú.
The main tourist attractions are around the foothills of the Talamanca mountains - especially the Cerro de la Muerte (Buena Vista) and Chirripó National Park which is over 3,000 meters high. |

Casa Mariposa (butterfly house) is a family owned rustic guesthouse built on the rocks located in San Gerardo de Rivas, Costa Rica, at the entrance to Chirripo National Park. Chirripo is the highest peak of Costa Rica (second highest in Central America), excellent for hikers and nature lovers.
