Nicoya
Nicoya is the commercial cattle center of Guanacaste province.
Nicoya is often used as a stopover town while exploring the peninsula’s many beautiful beaches, refuges and national parks in the area. Initially inhabited by Chorotega Indians, Costa Rica’s largest indigenous Indian community, Nicoya gets its name from an eminent Chorotega chief who initially welcomed the Spanish conquistadors when they first arrived here. |

| Cabinas Ginana is the perfect place if you came with the Ferry from Puntarenas and want to stay in the village before going on to Tambor, Montezuma, Malpaís or Cabo Blanco. If you came the long way from Nicoya, passing San Pablo, Jicarol and Playa Naranjo, you most likely are tired and need a good meal and a rest.

| If you came here with a 4x4 (specially necessary during rainy season), you might want to explore the area and drive to Marbella beach, Veracruz, San Juanillo and further to Playa Ostional with the Ostional National Wildlife Refuge.

Las Canciones del Mar welcomes you to a little piece of paradise. We see ourselves as the nicest small distinctive beach front hotel in Jaco with reasonable rates and with the best service in town. We serve a free buffet breakfast which is included in all our rates. Las “Canciones del Mar” is located Ocean Front and centrally in the little former fishing village of Garabito or more commonly known as “Jacó Beach” or just simply Jacó (pronounced HA-co).
Las Canciones del Mar consists of 11 one bedroom suites, a honey moon suite, and a large two bedroom suite, each fully equipped and air conditioned apartments with cable TV and a direct telephone connection to the outside. We can convert also one of our suites as conference area.
Since las "Canciones del Mar" is located beach front, the majority of our units have a pool or garden view and some units have beach view. |
