Hotel La Posada del Tope, Liberia, Costa Rica

This humble little pension is nothing fancy, but the rooms and shared bathrooms are clean, the owners are friendly and helpful, and it's a real bargain. Only a couple of rooms have double beds; the rest have one, two, or three single beds. The nicest thing about Posada del Tope is that it's housed in a wonderfully restored traditional colonial home, with high ceilings, big shuttered windows facing the street, and hefty wooden trim all around. There's safe parking and Internet access, and a few of the rooms even have televisions.

The world famous "Manuel Antonio National Park" and the beautiful pacific beaches are within a 20 minutes walking distance. The little port town "Quepos" is about 2 miles away. |
