The idea to establish the first big hotel in the then small Costa Rica of that time arose in 1920, when the flourishing coffee exports became our main trade activity, around which the social-cultural life of the country took place.
There are 102 guestrooms and five suites spanning five floors, all of which offer antique reproduction furnishings and neo-classical décor. Our newly remodeled rooms have telephone, Satelite T.V., Mini-Bar, Classic 1930 Classic 1930 bathtub and views of the National Theater and surrounding plazas, coffee maker machine, plus 24 hours room service and same day laundry service.
